Unto the rest of the children of Merari were allotted Rimmon with her suburbs and Tabor with her suburbs out of the tribe of Zebulun. It stands as one of the lists of the descendants of Levi and the towns allotted to them, part of the genealogical record. That record runs through twelve chapters of 1 Chronicles containing over five hundred verses that are nearly all names of persons, a simple record of names and places allotted to families.
