1 Corinthians 11:18

When believers come together in the church, divisions among them are a real danger present within the gathered body. Such divisions do not leave the meeting neutral, but make the coming together worse rather than better. The verse therefore calls members to walk humbly with God as the safeguard against this harm. It likewise calls them to live in obedience as the path by which unity is preserved.
