The instruction about women keeping silence has been brought forward as an objection to a woman speaking publicly. It does not prohibit women from speaking in public. It does not forbid women to preach to a mixed congregation in church. When the apostle's words are clearly explained, their true meaning answers the objection to women speaking in public and removes it. Women are left free to address the church with God's special power.
