1 Kings 1:48
And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it. And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.
The words are David's blessing of the Lord God of Israel for establishing Solomon as king upon the throne. David uttered them because he was still alive to see the succession take place with his own eyes. Their fulfillment rested in God's appointment of Solomon as successor, made sure despite Adonijah's rebellion.
