1 Kings 1:9

And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by En-rogel, and called all his brethren the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah the king’s servants:

Adonijah held a feast near Jerusalem by the stone of Zoheleth at En-rogel, where he slaughtered sheep and oxen and fat cattle and summoned all his brothers, the king's sons, together with the men of Judah who were the king's servants and officials. The gathering was deliberately staged as a coronation feast so that those assembled would proclaim him king. In doing so he was attempting to seize the throne for himself in rebellion against God's appointment of Solomon to succeed David as king.
