1 Kings 22:30

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

Ahab king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined together to go up to battle for Ramoth-gilead. They undertook this campaign in defiance of the warning given through the prophet Micaiah against it. In the battle Ahab was struck by an arrow and remained propped in his chariot until his death at sunset. His fall fulfilled the prophetic word that the enterprise of the two kings would not prosper.
