1 Kings 4:17

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

The verse stands in the first division of 1 Kings, chapters 1-11, the history of Solomon's reign over the undivided kingdom. That same reign is given also in 2 Chronicles 1-9. Within that reign chapter 4 presents Solomon as great as well as wise. It was a time when Israel enjoyed extraordinary wisdom, wealth, peace, and national greatness, for God had given Solomon exceptional wisdom and broad knowledge.

The verse itself names one of the high officers Solomon placed up and down the country for administration. Their appointment shows an organized kingdom with a numerous and contented people. That greatness was further shown as Solomon's fame spread into neighboring and surrounding lands.
