1 Kings 4:25
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon. And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
All the days of Solomon Judah and Israel dwelt in safety and peace from Dan to Beer-sheba, every household secure in its own home and land and enjoying the prosperity pictured by each man sitting under his own vine and under his own fig tree. That reach from Dan to Beer-sheba shows the wide extent of his kingdom and the peace on every side during his reign, when the surrounding kingdoms brought presents and served him. This secure and prosperous condition belonged to the period when Solomon's righteousness and wisdom brought honor to Israel and bore testimony to the surrounding nations of Jehovah's power. It was the fulfillment of the promise given to Abraham and repeated through Moses that if Israel diligently kept all God's commandments, loved the Lord, walked in all His ways and clung to Him, God would drive out greater and mightier nations before them and give them every place their feet trod, from the wilderness and Lebanon and from the Euphrates River to the uttermost sea, with no one able to stand before them.
