Solomon and Hiram Agree on Timber and Stoneby KalebRosendahl

1 Kings 5:11

And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

Solomon gave Hiram wheat for food for his household and pure oil year by year as payment for the timber for the temple. In return Hiram supplied cedar trees and fir trees according to all Solomon's desire. This yearly exchange belonged to the gathering of material to build the house, carried out under the wisdom the Lord gave Solomon as He had promised, and in the peace and league made between Hiram and Solomon. Alongside this exchange Israelite laborers were levied, including burden-bearers, hewers in the mountains, and overseers, while Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders hewed out great costly stones to lay the foundation.
