1 Kings 6:8
The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third. The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.
The detail of the door on the right side and the winding stairs to the middle and third chambers belongs to the account of Solomon's construction of the temple. That building work was carried out according to God's directions. It produced a structure renowned for its richness, beauty, and costly design. This temple replaced the tabernacle as the sanctuary after Israel settled in Canaan. Unlike the tabernacle it was permanent and larger, yet it kept the tabernacle's proportions and furnishings.
