1 Kings 7:26
And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths. And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.
The bronze sea described here had walls a handbreadth in thickness, with its brim fashioned like the rim of a drinking cup and ornamented with lily blossoms. It was set in the priests' court upon twelve bronze oxen as its support, and it served the priests as the place for their washing. Its capacity is stated here as two thousand baths, while another account reckons it at three thousand baths.
