And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south. Five bases were placed on each side of the house, five on the right side and five on the left side. The ten lavers stood upon those bases, arranged five on each side to correspond with them. The great bronze sea was set on the right side of the house eastward opposite the south, at the east end of the priests' court. The lavers served to wash what was offered for burnt offerings, while the sea served for the priests to wash in.
