1 Kings 7:6

And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them.

The fifty-by-thirty-cubit porch of pillars stood at the House of the Forest of Lebanon, fronted by additional pillars and a thick beam. Its length of fifty cubits and its breadth of thirty cubits define it as a broad pillared forecourt set before that house. The porch belongs to the record of Solomon's magnificent palace buildings, built with costly materials and costly furnishings. That splendor displayed his ambition to surpass other kings in greatness and display.
