1 Samuel 1:19

And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.

The verse belongs to the account of Elkanah's regular family visits to Shiloh to worship and sacrifice at the appointed gatherings. The family's worship and return to Ramah form the setting for Hannah's story. After worshiping before the Lord, the family returned to their house at Ramah. At Ramah Elkanah and Hannah conceived a child, and the Lord's remembering Hannah meant answering her desire for a son. Hannah's story in this verse is an example of patient, prayerful, and persevering faithfulness.
