1 Samuel 10:2
When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
Rachel's sepulchre in this verse stands at Zelzah on the border of Benjamin. Saul lived at Gibeah and first met Samuel at Ramah, so the route laid out here bears on where that Ramah must have been. For that reason Samuel's Ramah cannot be the Ramah of Benjamin nor the modern Neby Samuel four miles northwest of Jerusalem.
The verse supplies one of the exact signs appointed to confirm Saul's anointing and strengthen his faith. Near Rachel's tomb in Benjamin he was to meet two men who would tell him the lost donkeys he had gone to seek were found, and that his father had left caring for the animals and was now sorrowing for him and asking what he should do for his son. That sign was fulfilled when Saul came to Rachel's sepulchre and learned that the lost animals had been found just as he had been told.
