1 Samuel 30:8
And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
When David had lost what he held dear and stood in danger himself, he sought God's guidance instead of dwelling on his distress. God told him to pursue the Amalekites. He assured him that he would surely overtake them and without fail recover everything that had been taken. The answer gave David clear direction and confidence in divine help.
