1 Timothy 1:10
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
The lawless and disobedient named in the verse are transgressors of God's law. That identification embraces adulterers and liars and everyone who departs from sound doctrine. Such persons are under the law for the reason that they break it. Sound doctrine there is Bible truth. It is truth that promotes piety and devotion. It is truth that confirms God's people in the faith.
