2 Chronicles 14:15

They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 14:15 belongs to the account in 2 Chronicles 1 to 20 of the reigns in Judah of Solomon, Rehoboam, Abijah, Asa, and into Jehoshaphat. Within that history it falls in the account of Asa's good reign and Judah's great victory over the Ethiopians. Asa was the greatest king of Judah after Solomon and the united kingdom.

His reign stands in contrast to backsliding Israel, where from the division of the kingdom at Solomon's death to Jehoshaphat seven kings reigned briefly — Jeroboam, Nadab, Baasha, Elah, Zimri, Omri, and Ahab — having turned away from God early through Jeroboam's calves of gold and giving little care to God's voice and service despite appeals from God's prophets. That contrast between Asa and Israel holds great practical benefit. As part of the account of Asa's victory, the verse shows that prayer was followed by a glorious victory for Israel.
