2 Chronicles 14:9
And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah. And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.
Zerah the Ethiopian came against Judah with an immense host of a million men and three hundred chariots. He advanced as far as Mareshah, where the battle was fought. The invasion put Asa's faith to a severe test, for Judah's forces were far fewer than the overwhelming invading force.
Instead of relying on his fortified cities and trained army, Asa trusted in the Lord and sought Him in prayer for help. God defeated the Ethiopians and delivered Judah from the invading force. Judah carried away great spoil from the victory.
