2 Chronicles 15:5
And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
In those times there was no peace for travel, for neither those going out nor those coming in could move without danger, and great distress and vexation lay upon all the inhabitants of the countries. Nation was arrayed against nation and city against city in mutual warfare. This troubled condition was God's judgment upon Israel for having long continued without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law.
Yet even in that darkness, those who turned to the Lord in their trouble found Him. Under Asa's reform Judah and Benjamin entered into a covenant to seek God with the whole heart, and He was found by them and gave them rest throughout the land.
