2 Chronicles 15:7

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

The verse calls God's people to be strong and courageous rather than weak-handed and discouraged, to keep working faithfully for God with assurance that their work shall be rewarded. Staying strong means putting trust in God and keeping faith firm and hands strong in the work without failing or discouragement, with the promise that God will work on behalf of those who trust Him and give them an experience of great value. In Asa's time the encouragement gave him courage to remove idols, renew and restore the Lord's altar, and lead Judah in a wholehearted covenant to seek God and reform worship, after which God was found by them and gave them His presence and rest.

For young people the verse means using the light and opportunities God has given to do His will and serve Christ with courage and diligence instead of discouragement. For the sanitarium at Paradise Valley the verse means the institution was established on right lines and the Lord has a future for it. Holding fast and pressing forward in the Lord's name will therefore surely bring victory.
