2 Chronicles 18:23
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?
This moment comes from the prophet Micaiah's direct confrontation with King Ahab and the company of false prophets gathered around him. His testimony stood alone against their united assurances that the enterprise would end in victory. What he delivered instead was the Lord's solemn warning that Israel would be left scattered as a flock with no shepherd, without a leader to guide them. Despite that plain warning both kings refused to turn back and pressed on into battle, where Ahab was slain exactly as foretold, so that the outcome fulfilled the word Micaiah had spoken.
