2 Chronicles 18:27
And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people. And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
Micaiah made the outcome itself the public proof of his message, declaring that if the king came back in safety then the Lord had not spoken through him. He called all the people to take note of that test, staking everything on whether the word would stand. The king did not return in peace but was slain in the battle, and the army was commanded to go home. In that scattering of the host to their own houses without their king, the warning he had given beforehand was fulfilled.
