2 Chronicles 18:32
For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him. For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
The surrounding narrative places this moment in the battle at Ramoth-gilead where King Ahab of Israel met his death. The turning back of the Syrian chariot captains when they recognized Jehoshaphat was not Ahab forms part of that larger account of Ahab's final battle. The result of the engagement fulfilled the warning given beforehand by the prophet Micaiah, that Israel would be left without a shepherd and scattered upon the mountains. As Micaiah had foretold, the leaderless host did not press on to victory but dispersed, with the people returning to their homes.
