2 Chronicles 2:15

The verse records Hiram's request that Solomon send the wheat, barley, oil, and wine he had promised as compensation for labor and timber. It belongs to the exchange in which payment in provisions was pledged for the work of supplying wood for the temple. Under that arrangement Hiram's men were to cut the required timber in Lebanon. They were then to convey it by sea in rafts to Joppa. From there Solomon's servants were to carry it up to Jerusalem.
