Solomon and Hiram Arranging Timber by the Seaby KalebRosendahl

2 Chronicles 2:8

Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,

Solomon requested cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees out of Lebanon in order to prepare timber in abundance for the great temple he planned to build. He directed the request to Hiram because he knew that Hiram's servants had skill to cut timber in Lebanon. He arranged that his own servants should be with Hiram's servants in the work, laboring alongside them. The timber thus sought had to be hewn and hauled by strenuous labor.
