2 Chronicles 20:27
Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
Every man of Judah and Jerusalem returned to Jerusalem from the victory with joy, for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies. Jehoshaphat was in the forefront of them on that return. Their rejoicing came because they had trusted wholly in God and had seen Him deliver them.
The enemies they rejoiced over were the children of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom the Lord smote through ambushes set when Judah began to sing and praise. Those enemies were made to turn against one another until Judah found them as dead bodies fallen to the earth, with none escaped. Coming into Jerusalem they went to the house of the Lord praising God with music, with psalteries and harps and trumpets.
Their return put the fear of the Lord upon all the kingdoms of the surrounding countries when it was heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel. The realm of Jehoshaphat was left quiet because his God gave him rest round about.
