He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead: and the Syrians smote Joram. Ahaziah of Judah walked after the counsel of the house of Ahab. In doing so he joined his uncle Jehoram of Israel, son of Ahab, in a military campaign against Syria at Ramoth Gilead. The armies of Judah and Israel were united there as a combined force in battle against the Syrians. During that fighting Jehoram was wounded by the Syrians and withdrew to Jezreel to recover.
