And he returned to be healed in Jezreel because of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick.
Jehoram king of Israel withdrew to Jezreel to recover from the wounds inflicted on him in his war with the Syrians at Ramoth Gilead. While he lay ill there, Ahaziah king of Judah went down to Jezreel to visit him in his sickness. That journey placed Ahaziah at Jezreel when Jehu carried out the destruction of the house of Ahab.
