And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them. And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.
The slaying of the princes of Judah and of the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah who ministered to him took place while Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab. That timing sets their deaths inside Jehu's wider work of carrying out his commission against Ahab's house and its supporters. In that same course of judgment Ahaziah, king of Judah, was also among those put to death.
