2 Chronicles 23:12
Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD: Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD:
The rejoicing was for the crowning and anointing of Joash as king after he had been kept hidden for six years. What Athaliah heard was the noise of the people running and praising the newly proclaimed King Joash. Upon hearing it she came to them into the house of the Lord. When she entered she saw Joash standing by a pillar while the people rejoiced and sounded trumpets.
