2 Chronicles 23:8
So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.
The Levites together with all Judah carried out everything that Jehoiada the priest had directed in the crowning of Joash. Their obedience was complete, extending to all the things he had commanded for that occasion. As part of that arrangement, each leader took his men, both those who were to come on duty on the Sabbath and those who were to go off duty on the Sabbath. Jehoiada did not dismiss the courses, but kept the incoming and outgoing divisions together for the work.
