2 Chronicles 26:3

Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

Uzziah came to the throne at sixteen years of age and his rule in Jerusalem continued for fifty-two years. He entered his reign doing what was right and seeking God, and as long as he continued in that course he was prospered. In the course of that long reign his heart was lifted up with pride until he presumed to enter upon a priestly office that God had not committed to him. No measure of royal success fitted him for that work or gave him a call to take a place to which he had not been appointed.
