2 Chronicles 32:32
Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
The remaining deeds of Hezekiah and his goodness are recorded in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. Isaiah thus preserved the history of Hezekiah's life and reign, including his benevolent administration and the prosperity of his reign. The surrounding account also includes his illness and recovery, his pride and his later humbling, and the consequences that came upon Judah. Hezekiah received an honored burial.
When Assyria threatened Jerusalem, Hezekiah humbled himself and prayed with his people, and the Lord overthrew the Assyrian army by His angel. Comparison of that account with the parallel records in 2 Kings 18-19 and Isaiah 37 shows that when the angel slew 185,000 Assyrians the army was with the king at Libnah and not near Jerusalem, so that slaughter does not fulfill Isaiah 30:33.
