2 Chronicles 33:8
Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
Israel was promised that its footing would never again be removed from the land appointed for its fathers, provided its people took heed to carry out all that had been commanded through Moses, according to the whole law with its statutes and ordinances. That heeding of the statutes delivered through Moses had been a cause of prosperity during the reign of Hezekiah. Under Manasseh those same statutes were set aside. The temple copy of the law was then lost, so that for many years the people were left without its instruction.
