2 Chronicles 34:11

Even to the artificers and builders gave they it, to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to floor the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.

The verse describes the funding of the temple restoration under King Josiah, when money was given to craftsmen and builders to buy dressed stone and timber for couplings and flooring. The houses to be repaired and floored were those that the kings of Judah had destroyed and allowed to fall into ruin. The work was part of restoring the house of the Lord, showing that the gathered offerings were put to practical use for repairs carried out by skilled workers.

These repairs belong to the account of the work during which the long-lost book of the law was found. Those repairs helped bring about Josiah's reform. The account illustrates the reform and return to the Lord expected to follow John's preaching.
