2 Chronicles 35:5

And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.

2 Chronicles 35:5 belongs to the account of Josiah's Passover. It directs the people to stand in the holy place according to the divisions of their ancestral families for the Passover service, with the Levites arranged according to their own family divisions. At this Passover the lambs were slain as the sun was setting at the close of the fourteenth day of the first month, and their blood and fat were given to the priests.

The lamb was then roasted whole and eaten with unleavened bread and bitter herbs in the following evening after the fifteenth of Nisan had begun, with nothing left until morning. That same night the priests burned the fat and sprinkled the blood on the altar. The fifteenth was a holy convocation, a yearly sabbath on which no work was done except the preparation of necessary food. Josiah's Passover brought a greater revival of hope than Hezekiah's Passover, though it was followed by a more hopeless apostasy.
