2 Chronicles 9:26

And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

2 Chronicles 9:26 belongs to the account of Solomon's reign over the undivided kingdom, which runs in chronological order. It stands in the closing part of that account, coming after the building and dedication of the temple, the arrangements for the service of the house of God, and Solomon's commercial enterprises. There it tells part of the story of his wonderful wisdom and riches. It describes his rule over the kings from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt. In that extent of dominion the promise that Abraham's descendants would possess the land was fulfilled.
