2 Chronicles 9:8
Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
The queen of Sheba herself discerned and declared that Solomon's reign came from the Lord rather than from himself. He had been set upon the throne by God, and both his kingship and his wisdom flowed from the Lord's favor and delight in him, placed there to be king for God and on God's behalf. God made him king over Israel because He loved Israel and purposed to establish the people in permanence. That appointment carried a charge to govern righteously by executing judgment and justice.
