2 Corinthians 12:20
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults: For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
Whispering, backbiting, slandering, evil speaking, suspicion, strife, and alienation have no place among God's ministers and workers. A godly jealousy is to be maintained over self, so that workers are closely united in love and confidence, with heart close to heart. Each is to be treated as God's anointed, as His chosen ones appointed to do a special work for the Master.
No unsanctified influence is to be allowed to make workers suspicious of one another, and they are to be perfectly honest with one another as brother with brother in the sight of the universe of heaven. Love and respect and courtesy are to be cultivated, with each in honor preferring one another. God will not and cannot work for His name's glory when His professed children live in strife and alienation.
