2 Corinthians 4:14

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

Paul wrote while in constant danger and in daily expectation of martyrdom for the same faith he had preached to the Corinthians. He knew with certainty that He who died and rose again, God who raised the Lord Jesus, will by Jesus and by Christ's mighty power also raise his own body from the grave and present him to the Father. That raising and presenting is together with him, including all the faithful who accepted the truth through his labors, to be raised through Jesus and presented with him.

That certainty and hope sustained him and kept him from being intimidated by death and the prospect of martyrdom. Because he was fully convinced that the truth entrusted to him was reality, he would not handle the word of God deceitfully or conceal the convictions of his soul. He would not purchase wealth, honor, pleasure, or conformity to the opinions of the world by cowardly conformity to the world.
