2 John 1:7
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Those who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh are deceivers and antichrists. That denial takes the form of teaching that Jesus was merely a good man on the level of the apostles while rejecting His divinity. Such false teaching about Christ is a poisonous and serious error that endangers and threatens the church.
Many deceivers have gone out into the world as emissaries of evil under Satan's control, cooperating with their leader for the deception and destruction of the human race. They work with every form of unrighteous deception with great subtlety, staying awake while men sleep, so that those who are off guard are in great danger. It is unsafe to be presumptuous, to ignore Satan's shrewdness, or to fail to reckon with the effort needed to escape his snare.
Safety requires standing always on guard and obeying Christ as Captain in concerted, united action, with the will wholly submitted to God to magnify the laws of His kingdom. Unless His soldiers obey orders they will themselves be taken in the snare and used by Satan to serve his purposes and bring disorder and broken, disorganized ranks among God's soldiers.
