2 Kings 10:2

This verse stands within the history of Jehu's campaign against the house of Ahab. It comes at the point where Jehu was pressing forward with his appointed work of judgment upon that house. In that campaign he was fulfilling his commission to destroy the house of Ahab root and branch. Those who survived yet persisted in its evil were put to death, so that the corrupt dynasty was brought to its fall.
