2 Kings 10:22

And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.

This verse belongs to Jehu's purge of Baal worship in Israel, when he moved against it to remove it and reform the nation. The worshippers of Baal gathered in this episode were his prophets, servants, and priests. No further explanation of the meaning of the vestments is given. Those worshippers were put to the sword, their images were destroyed, and the temple of Baal was laid in ruins.

In this removal the priests of Baal and Ashtoreth were set aside and their altars were thrown down. Jehu's actions were stern measures of reform, and as a result the altars of Baal were being forsaken. This removal of Baal worship was a merciful act of providence that took away a source of temptation and gave some in Israel an opportunity to forsake heathenism and turn to God.
