2 Kings 14:16
And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead. And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.
Jehoash's reign came to its close, and his son Jeroboam II succeeded him and reigned in his place. Jehoash reigned sixteen years. His reign stands within Israel's history of departure from God, in contrast to the faithful course the kingdom could have followed.
