2 Kings 19:36

So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

The verse records what followed the night when the angel of the Lord struck the Assyrian army. Sennacherib broke off his campaign, departed, went back to his own land, and dwelt at Nineveh. His return was a retreat in disgrace, showing the power of God's angels to deliver His people from destruction.
