2 Kings 21:14
And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies; And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
The declaration is a judgment pronounced upon Judah during the reign of Manasseh, because he had done wickedly above all who were before him. It was given as a prophetic message of reproof and judgment against the king for that exceeding wickedness. Because of that course the kingdom was nearing a crisis.
Its inhabitants would soon be carried captive to Babylon, to be delivered into the hand of their enemies and left as plunder in their hands. There they would become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies.
Yet the forsaking foretold is not utter or final. The Lord would not abandon those who in a strange land acknowledged Him as Ruler. Those who there acknowledge God as Ruler may suffer great tribulation, yet He will bring them deliverance in His appointed time and way. Those who learn to put their trust wholly in Him will find a sure refuge.
