2 Kings 21:21
And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them: And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
Amon the son of Manasseh came to the throne at twenty-two years old. He walked fully in all the idolatrous way that his father had walked, serving and worshiping the same idols his father had served. By that course he forsook the Lord, the God of his ancestors. His life had been shaped beyond recall by his father's fatal apostasy.
Unlike Manasseh, who humbled himself before the Lord, Amon refused to humble himself and trespassed more and more with daring impiety. Because of this wicked course he was not permitted to reign long, ruling only two years. He was slain in the palace by his own servants. After his death the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place.
