2 Kings 3:14
And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee. And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.
2 Kings 3:14 stands in an account given as a test of faith, teaching God's people to put their trust not in what they themselves can do but in what God can do for them and through them. The same kind of testing and temptation will be met again, and it must be met in a similar manner. Those who place their trust in this way will certainly realize His power at work in their labor. The outcome of the battle does not depend on human strength but on God's power. The strength that turns the battle against the enemy is that of the mighty General of armies.
God works in the ways least expected. He works in this way for the glory of His own name. The Holy One, whose power is of old and whose ways are past finding out, must not be limited by marking out beforehand how He will work.
