2 Kings 5:17

And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules’ burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.

Naaman was captain of the host of the king of Syria, a mighty man in valor who was a leper. In his heathen home a captive little Israelite maid waited on Naaman's wife. Remembering the wonderful miracles of healing wrought through Elisha, she wished her lord were with the prophet in Samaria so he could be recovered from his leprosy, knowing the power of Heaven was with Elisha and believing he could be healed.

He resolved henceforth to offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods but to the Lord alone. To carry out that resolve he asked to be given two mule-loads of earth to take with him. In what follows he asked the Lord to pardon him when he must accompany his master into the temple of Rimmon and bow there while supporting his master, and Elisha sent him away in peace.
